We design our cookie practices around a simple standard: essential technologies are used only as needed to provide the service, and non-essential analytics or marketing technologies should be optional where local law requires consent.

SalaryIndex does not currently use marketing cookies. If that changes, they should remain off until you consent where required.

Current SalaryIndex Approach

SalaryIndex primarily relies on necessary and preference technologies. Authentication cookies are used for account access and protected pages. Preference cookies may be used to remember practical choices, such as country selection or dismissed notices. We do not currently describe any advertising or remarketing cookie as essential.

If analytics tools are enabled, they should be configured to collect aggregate product and performance signals, not sensitive salary submission details. Salary submissions and account data are governed by our Privacy Policy, not by this Cookie Policy alone.

Third-Party Services

  • Supabase may set authentication cookies when you create an account, sign in, or use protected SalaryIndex features.
  • Lemon Squeezy may use cookies or similar technologies on checkout and billing pages it provides as our merchant-of-record payment provider.
  • Hosting, security, and infrastructure providers may process technical request data needed to deliver the site securely.

Third-party services may set their own cookies under their own policies. We try to limit third-party technologies to services needed for authentication, payments, infrastructure, security, and product operation.

Managing Your Choices

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of SalaryIndex may not load correctly, account login may fail, and saved preferences may reset. If a cookie banner or preference center is available in your region, use it to accept, reject, or change non-essential cookie choices.

Browser-level privacy controls, private browsing modes, and Do Not Track or global privacy signals may affect how cookies and similar technologies are handled. We aim to respect applicable legal requirements for these controls where they apply.

Retention

Session cookies usually expire when you close your browser or sign out. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period unless you delete them earlier. Preference cookies are typically kept only as long as needed to remember your choice, and consent records, where used, may be retained long enough to demonstrate and refresh your preferences.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when SalaryIndex changes its technology stack, launches new regions, adds analytics or payment features, or when legal requirements change. The date above shows the latest published version.
